The Oil Change You Do Standing Up

Feed the thin inlet hose down your dipstick tube, clip the leads to your battery, and Drainless pulls the old oil straight up and out. No ramps, no jack stands, no drain pan sliding across the floor — and nothing running down your forearm.

A Quart a Minute, Start to Finish

A 100-watt copper-wound motor spinning at 2,800 RPM moves up to four quarts a minute, so a full crankcase is empty before you'd have finished jacking the car up. Warm the engine, flip the switch, and watch the oil climb the clear hose.

Built for the Engines With No Drain Plug

Boats, jet skis, ride-on mowers, generators — the machines where dropping the oil was never an option now change in minutes through the dipstick tube. It moves transmission and power-steering fluid just as happily, so you can stop pulling the pan every time.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will it fit my car?

Three inlet hoses are included — 6mm, 8mm and 10mm. The 6mm fits down the dipstick tube on most passenger cars. Some modern engines have unusually narrow or sharply bent dipstick tubes; a rigid nylon line feeds through those more easily than soft tubing.

Does it really get all the oil out?

Nearly all of it. Feed the tube right down to the bottom of the sump and reposition it once or twice as the level drops. One customer checked his work by removing the drain plug afterwards — not a drop came out. How complete it is does depend on the shape of your sump, so a heavily baffled pan may hold a little back.

How long does an oil change take?

About five minutes for a typical car. Owners report roughly a quart a minute once the oil is warm — one drained 19 quarts across two SUVs in half an hour.

Do I need any tools?

No. Two crocodile clamps go straight onto your battery terminals. No wiring, no ramps, no jack, no drain pan.

Can I use it on a boat, jet ski, mower or generator?

Yes, and that's where it earns its keep. Many marine and small engines have no practical drain plug at all, so extraction through the dipstick tube is the only sensible way to change the oil.

Do I still need to change the oil filter?

Yes. The pump empties the sump; the filter is a separate job and still needs replacing. Many owners remove the filler cap and the filter while the pump is running, which helps the oil flow.
